The 1939 Lincoln cent struck at the Denver Mint stands as a beautifully preserved example of early twentieth-century American coinage. Minted in copper, this specific coin remains in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, retaining its vibrant red coloration. The Denver origin is clearly marked on the coin by the small letter D located beneath the date. On the obverse, the profile of Abraham Lincoln faces right, accompanied by the inscriptions of liberty and the national motto expressing trust in God. The reverse design features two stylized stalks of wheat framing the denomination of one cent and the name of the United States of America. This simple yet powerful imagery, created by designer Victor David Brenner, defined the look of the penny for generations of Americans.
