Struck in bronze between 1943 and 1955, this Mexican 20 Centavos piece is a beautiful example of mid-twentieth-century coinage. Weighing 10 grams and measuring 28.5 millimeters in diameter, the coin showcases a remarkable blend of national symbols and ancient geography. Each piece is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, offering a clear look at the intricate details of the original engraving. The obverse displays the national arms of Mexico, depicting an eagle grasping a snake in its beak. Around this central image, the inscription ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS declares the nation of origin. This classic emblem represents the foundation of the country and is rendered with impressive clarity. On the reverse, the design transports the viewer to the ancient valley of Mexico. The mighty Pyramid of the Sun dominates the center, with the famous volcanic peaks of Ixtacciguatl and Popocatepet rising in the background.
