This mid-century five-cent piece, minted in Denver in 1947, offers a crisp look at one of America's most enduring coin designs. Struck in copper, this specimen survives in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, preserving the sharp details of the engraving just as it looked when it first left the coining press. The obverse of the coin presents a profile portrait of Thomas Jefferson, the nation's third president, facing left. Alongside his likeness, the traditional American mottos of liberty and trust are inscribed, accompanied by the 1947 year of issue.
