The 1950 Jefferson nickel struck at the Denver Mint represents a classic era of mid-century American pocket change. Crafted from a copper and nickel alloy, this five-cent piece carries the distinctive 'D' mint mark, indicating its origin from the Colorado facility. This particular issue is preserved in average circulated condition, showing the honest wear of a coin that once passed through the hands of everyday Americans. On the obverse, the coin displays a profile portrait of Thomas Jefferson, the nation's third president.
