1951-D Lincoln Cent BU (Red)

0.0000 troy oz 1951 Brilliant Unc

The 1951 Lincoln cent struck at the Denver Mint offers a brilliant glimpse into mid-twentieth-century American coinage. Preserved in uncirculated condition with its original red copper luster, this coin showcases the enduring artistry of Victor David Brenner. The obverse features a highly detailed portrait of Abraham Lincoln facing right. Accompanying the bust are the familiar inscriptions of faith and freedom, including "IN GOD WE TRUST" along the upper rim, "LIBERTY" to the left, and the date "1951" positioned below the Denver "D" mint mark. On the reverse, the design presents a minimalist yet powerful aesthetic. Two stylized wheat ears frame the central inscriptions, which state the denomination as "ONE CENT" and identify the nation as "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA". The traditional Latin motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" arches over the top, completing a design that defined daily American commerce for decades.
