1954 Jefferson Nickel BU
The 1954 Jefferson nickel is a wonderful representation of mid-twentieth-century American coinage. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this five-cent piece is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, allowing the original details of the design to remain sharp and clear. On the obverse, the coin displays a profile portrait of Thomas Jefferson, the third President of the United States. This side also bears the inscription of the year 1954. The reverse features a detailed depiction of Monticello, Jefferson's historic Virginia estate. Both sides of the coin showcase the artistic work of Felix O. Schlag, whose design has graced the nickel for decades.
