1957 Lincoln Cent PF-67 NGC (Red)

0.0000 troy oz 1957 Proof - 67 (NGC)

Struck during the mid-twentieth century, this 1957 Lincoln Cent represents a remarkable example of United States proof coinage. Crafted from copper at the Philadelphia Mint, this issue features a brilliant red coloration that has been preserved in exceptional Proof 67 quality. Proof coins from this era were produced in limited quantities, with a total mintage of 1,247,952 pieces, resulting in a much sharper and more reflective finish than standard circulating coinage. The obverse of the coin bears the iconic profile portrait of Abraham Lincoln, a design created by Victor D. Brenner. Accompanying the bust are the traditional inscriptions IN GOD WE TRUST, LIBERTY, and the date 1957. The reverse displays the classic wheat cent design, featuring two stylized ears of wheat framing the denomination, a motif that defined the Lincoln cent series for fifty years.
