In 1962, the Denver Mint produced a striking version of the classic Lincoln Cent, struck in a traditional alloy composed of 95 percent copper, with the remaining 5 percent consisting of tin and zinc. This particular issue is celebrated for its brilliant uncirculated condition, retaining the vibrant red coloration that copper enthusiasts find so appealing. The obverse of the coin displays the iconic right-facing portrait of Abraham Lincoln, a design created by Victor David Brenner. Clearly legible inscriptions on this side include the national motto, IN GOD WE TRUST, along with LIBERTY and the date of 1962. On the reverse, the coin features the Lincoln Memorial design by Frank Gasparro, which was minted continuously from 1959 to 2008.
