1975-D Jefferson Nickel BU

0.0000 troy oz 1975 Brilliant Unc

The 1975 Jefferson nickel, struck at the Denver Mint, represents a classic era of United States five-cent coinage. This particular specimen survives in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, preserving the crisp details of its original manufacture just as it appeared when it left the coining press decades ago. On the obverse, the coin displays a profile portrait of Thomas Jefferson, the third President of the United States. Accompanying this likeness are the familiar inscriptions of liberty and trust, along with the 1975 date and the 'D' mintmark, which signifies its origin at the Denver facility. The reverse side of the coin features a detailed depiction of Monticello, Jefferson's famous Virginia estate. Below the historic home, the inscriptions declare the face value of five cents and identify the nation of origin, completing a design created by Felix O. Schlag that has become a familiar part of daily American commerce.
