1975-D Lincoln Cent BU (Red)

0.0000 troy oz 1975 Brilliant Unc

The 1975 Lincoln Cent struck at the Denver Mint represents a classic era of United States bronze coinage. Minted with a traditional alloy of 95 percent copper alongside a 5 percent mixture of tin and zinc, this coin displays the brilliant red luster highly prized by enthusiasts of uncirculated copper. On the obverse, the right-facing profile of Abraham Lincoln dominates the design, created by Victor David Brenner. This side bears the familiar inscriptions of liberty and trust, alongside the 1975 date and the 'D' mint mark indicating its Denver origin. The reverse features the Lincoln Memorial, designed by Frank Gasparro. This detailed architectural depiction was minted continuously from 1959 to 2008. A close look reveals the tiny statue of Lincoln inside the monument, making this coin one of the few circulating pieces to feature the same individual on both the obverse and reverse sides.
