1976-D Jefferson Nickel BU

0.0000 troy oz 1976 Brilliant Unc

This five cent piece from 1976 captures a classic American design in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Struck at the Denver Mint, the copper nickel coin showcases the sharp details of Felix O. Schlag's original artistry, which has graced the five cent denomination since the late 1930s. The obverse features a profile portrait of Thomas Jefferson facing left. Surrounding his likeness are the legible inscriptions of liberty and trust, alongside the 1976 date and the small letter D indicating its Denver origin. On the reverse, the design presents a detailed depiction of Monticello, Jefferson's famous Virginia estate. The building's name is clearly struck below the dome, framed by the traditional national mottos and the face value of five cents.
