1983-D Jefferson Nickel BU

0.0000 troy oz 1983 Brilliant Unc

The 1983 Jefferson nickel struck at the Denver Mint offers a clean look at a classic of modern American coinage. This five-cent piece, preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, showcases the sharp details of Felix O. Schlag's enduring mid-twentieth-century design. On the obverse, a left-facing profile of Thomas Jefferson is accompanied by the national motto, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the word LIBERTY alongside the 1983 mint date. The letter D beneath the date indicates its origin at the Denver facility. The reverse side displays Monticello, Jefferson's historic Virginia estate. The building's neoclassical facade is flanked by the traditional inscriptions E PLURIBUS UNUM above and the denomination FIVE CENTS below, with the country name UNITED STATES OF AMERICA anchoring the bottom of the design.
