0.0000 troy oz 1984 Brilliant Unc

Struck at the Denver Mint in 1984, this five-cent piece represents a classic era of American circulating coinage. Preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, the coin retains its original luster, allowing the fine details of the engraving to stand out just as they did when the coin first left the coining press. The obverse features a profile portrait of Thomas Jefferson, the third President of the United States. Accompanying his likeness is the national motto, "IN GOD WE TRUST," along with the Denver "D" mint mark. On the reverse, the design showcases Monticello, Jefferson's famous Virginia estate, rendered in precise architectural detail. The reverse also bears the traditional inscriptions "E PLURIBUS UNUM," "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," and the denomination "FIVE CENTS." This piece was designed by Felix O. Schlag, whose work has defined the five-cent coin for generations. Examining a specimen in this high state of preservation offers a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into the everyday currency of the United States.
