1990-P Jefferson Nickel BU

0.0000 troy oz 1990 Brilliant Unc

The 1990 Jefferson nickel struck at the Philadelphia Mint offers a wonderfully clear look at one of America's most enduring coin designs. This five-cent piece, preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, showcases the artistic work of Felix O. Schlag, whose designs have graced the nickel for decades. On the obverse side, a profile portrait of Thomas Jefferson faces left. Surrounding his image are the familiar national inscriptions, including the motto IN GOD WE TRUST, the word LIBERTY, the year 1990, and the P mint mark indicating its origin in Philadelphia. The reverse side of the coin features a detailed depiction of Monticello, the historic Virginia estate of Thomas Jefferson. The home is accompanied by the inscriptions E PLURIBUS UNUM above the dome, with MONTICELLO, FIVE CENTS, and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA struck clearly below the building.
