1992-P Jefferson Nickel BU

0.0000 troy oz 1992 Brilliant Unc

The 1992 Jefferson nickel represents a classic era of United States five-cent coinage, struck at the Philadelphia Mint. This particular specimen is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, meaning it retains the sharp details and original luster from the day it was minted, free from the wear of everyday circulation. On the obverse, the coin displays a profile portrait of Thomas Jefferson, the third President of the United States, designed by Felix O. Schlag. Accompanying the portrait are the traditional national mottos and inscriptions, including "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "LIBERTY", alongside the 1992 date and the "P" mint mark indicating its Philadelphia origin. The reverse of the coin features Schlag's detailed depiction of Monticello, Jefferson's famous neoclassical estate in Virginia. The home's name, "MONTICELLO", is clearly inscribed beneath the building. Surrounding this central image are the inscriptions "E PLURIBUS UNUM", "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", and the denomination, "FIVE CENTS".
