1993-P Jefferson Nickel BU

0.0000 troy oz 1993 Brilliant Unc

The 1993 Jefferson nickel struck at the Philadelphia Mint offers a brilliant look at one of America's most enduring coin designs. This five cent piece, preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, showcases sharp details that bring the mid twentieth century design into the modern era. On the obverse, the profile of Thomas Jefferson faces left, accompanied by the familiar national mottoes. The inscription IN GOD WE TRUST curves along the left rim, while LIBERTY and the year 1993 are positioned on the right. Just below the portrait, the P mint mark indicates its origin at the Philadelphia facility. The reverse of the coin features a detailed depiction of Monticello, the historic Virginia estate designed by Jefferson himself. The neoclassical plantation home is centered above its name, MONTICELLO. Arching above the estate is the traditional Latin phrase E PLURIBUS UNUM, while the face value FIVE CENTS and the issuing country UNITED STATES OF AMERICA frame the lower portion of the design.
