The 1994 Lincoln Cent struck at the Denver Mint offers a brilliant, copper-colored look at one of the most enduring coin designs in American history. This modern issue features a composition of 99.2 percent zinc with a thin outer layer of 0.8 percent copper, weighing in at 2.5 grams. Kept in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, it retains the bright red luster highly prized by enthusiasts of the series. The obverse displays the familiar right-facing profile of Abraham Lincoln, a historic portrait created by sculptor Victor David Brenner. Arcing above the president is the motto IN GOD WE TRUST, while the word LIBERTY sits to his left. The year 1994 and the D mint mark representing the Denver facility are positioned to the right. On the reverse, the coin features the Lincoln Memorial, a design by Frank Gasparro that was minted continuously from 1959 to 2008. The structure is framed by the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE CENT, with the traditional Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM placed directly above the monument dome.
