1994 Lincoln Cent BU (Red)

0.0000 troy oz 1994 Brilliant Unc

The 1994 Lincoln Cent stands as a bright example of modern American pocket change, preserved in brilliant uncirculated condition with its original red luster intact. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this coin represents a fascinating era of composition, consisting of a core that is 99.2 percent zinc, enveloped in a thin coating of 0.8 percent copper. Weighing exactly 2.5 grams, this light yet durable composition has defined the penny since the early 1980s. On the obverse side, the legendary profile of Abraham Lincoln faces right, a classic design originally created by Victor David Brenner. The crisp inscriptions "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "LIBERTY" frame the president's likeness, accompanied by the clear date of 1994. The reverse side showcases the Lincoln Memorial, a design by Frank Gasparro that was struck continuously from 1959 to 2008. If you look closely at the center of the monument, the tiny figure of Lincoln is visible between the pillars. Surrounding the memorial are the traditional inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "ONE CENT," and the historic motto "E-PLURIBUS UNUM."
