1999 Lincoln Cent BU (Red)

0.0000 troy oz 1999 Brilliant Unc

The 1999 Lincoln Cent stands as a bright example of modern American pocket change, preserved in brilliant uncirculated condition with its original red luster intact. Weighing 2.5 grams, this coin features a composition made of 99.2 percent zinc with a thin outer plating of 0.8 percent copper. On the obverse side, the right-facing portrait of Abraham Lincoln dominates the design, accompanied by the familiar inscriptions of liberty and trust. This iconic likeness was originally created by Victor David Brenner. The reverse, designed by Frank Gasparro, depicts the detailed facade of the Lincoln Memorial, a design that remained a staple of the one cent denomination from 1959 to 2008. Legible inscriptions on this side include the national motto of unity alongside the country name and the face value of one cent.
