2007-D Jefferson Nickel BU

0.0000 troy oz 2007 Brilliant Unc

The 2007 Jefferson nickel, minted in Denver, presents a modern look at one of America's most enduring five-cent coin designs. This brilliant uncirculated specimen showcases the evolution of the series, combining a contemporary portrait of Thomas Jefferson on the obverse with a classic depiction of his home on the reverse. On the front of the coin, the profile of Thomas Jefferson faces forward, accompanied by the traditional inscriptions of national identity and liberty. The legible lettering includes the motto IN GOD WE TRUST alongside the word Liberty, rendered in a style that mimics Jefferson's own handwriting, and the 2007 year of issue with the D mint mark representing the Denver Mint. The reverse of the coin returns to the familiar image of Monticello, Jefferson's famous Virginia plantation home. This detailed vignette captures the neoclassical architecture of the estate. Surrounding the building are the inscriptions E PLURIBUS UNUM, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, MONTICELLO, and the denomination, FIVE CENTS.
