In 2010, the United States Mint embarked on a scenic numismatic journey with the America the Beautiful Quarters Program. Among the inaugural releases of this celebrated series is a tribute to one of the world's most breathtaking natural wonders, the Grand Canyon. Struck at the Denver Mint, this particular issue features the 'D' mint mark and is preserved in brilliant uncirculated condition, showcasing its fresh-from-the-press luster. The reverse of the coin presents a striking perspective of the Grand Canyon's towering, layered rock walls, capturing the immense scale of the Arizona landmark. Accompanying this rugged landscape are the inscriptions 'GRAND CANYON', 'ARIZONA', '2010', and the traditional motto 'E PLURIBUS UNUM'. On the obverse, the familiar portrait of George Washington is accompanied by the essential inscriptions that define United States currency.
