2010-P ATB Quarter Yellowstone National Park BU
In 2010, the United States Mint embarked on the America the Beautiful series, a multi year program celebrating national parks and historic sites. This Philadelphia minted quarter dollar honors Yellowstone National Park, showcasing a design that captures the geothermal wonders of the American West. Struck in copper and preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, the coin retains its original luster and sharp details. The reverse of the coin depicts a towering geyser erupting before a backdrop of rugged pine trees and natural thermal features, bringing a sense of wilderness to a small canvas. It carries the inscriptions YELLOWSTONE, WYOMING, 2010, and the traditional motto E PLURIBUS UNUM. On the obverse, the familiar portrait of George Washington is accompanied by the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the QUARTER DOLLAR denomination. A distinct P mint mark is visible, indicating its production at the Philadelphia Mint.
