2010-P Jefferson Nickel BU

0.0000 troy oz 2010 Brilliant Unc

The 2010 Jefferson nickel, struck at the Philadelphia Mint, offers a modern look at one of America's most enduring coin designs. This five cent piece, preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, represents a contemporary chapter in a series that has been a staple of United States pocket change for generations. On the obverse, a forward-facing portrait of Thomas Jefferson brings a sense of immediacy and life to the third president. This side of the copper-nickel coin is inscribed with the word Liberty, written in a script based on Jefferson's own handwriting, alongside the national motto, In God We Trust, the year 2010, and the P mint mark indicating its Philadelphia origin. The reverse of the coin returns to a classic theme, showcasing a detailed depiction of Monticello, Jefferson's famous Virginia estate. The neoclassical mansion is centered above the inscriptions Monticello and Five Cents, while the traditional Latin motto E Pluribus Unum is placed at the top, and United States of America anchors the bottom of the design.
