2011-P ATB Quarter Glacier National Park BU

0.0000 troy oz 2011 Brilliant Unc

The 2011 Philadelphia Mint quarter transports observers to the rugged wilderness of Montana through its tribute to Glacier National Park. Struck in copper, this coin is part of the celebrated America the Beautiful series. The reverse design captures the dramatic landscape of the park, featuring the inscription GLACIER, MONTANA, and the traditional motto E PLURIBUS UNUM alongside the year 2011. On the obverse, the coin displays the familiar portrait of George Washington, a design tradition that began in 1932 to mark the bicentennial of the first president's birth. This enduring obverse makes the Washington quarter series the second-longest surviving coin series in United States history, surpassed only by the Lincoln cent. Legible inscriptions on this side include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the denomination QUARTER DOLLAR, along with the P mint mark representing the Philadelphia facility.
