Struck at the Denver Mint, this 2015 copper-nickel clad quarter represents a crucial moment in the struggle for American independence. Part of the America the Beautiful series, the coin honors Saratoga National Historical Park in New York, a site marking a major shift in the fortunes of the Revolutionary War. The reverse side of the coin illustrates the historic surrender ceremony of 1777, showing the moment British General John Burgoyne yields his sword to American General Horatio Gates.
