In 2018, a striking gold coin emerged from Western Australia, celebrating one of the continent's most dramatic avian residents. Struck by the Perth Mint, this legal tender piece carries a face value of 100 Dollars under the Australian Currency Act 1965. Crafted from one troy ounce of exceptionally pure 0.9999 fine gold, the coin was released with a strict limit of just 5,000 pieces, making it a highly focused release for enthusiasts of modern numismatics. The reverse of the coin captures a moment of pure natural theater. It depicts a Victoria's Riflebird perched upon a branch, its wings fully spread and its beak wide open in its signature display.
