The 2018 America the Beautiful quarter series continues its journey across America's natural wonders with this tribute to Voyageurs National Park in Minnesota. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint and carrying the P mint mark, this brilliant uncirculated coin represents the forty-third release in the fifty-six-part series. The park itself, established in 1975, derives its name from the French-Canadian fur traders who once traveled these waters. Today, the park is celebrated for its four major lakes, spectacular views of the northern lights, and ancient geology featuring rocks aged from 1 billion to 3 billion years old. The obverse side of the coin displays the classic portrait of George Washington.
