The American Innovation dollar series celebrates the spirit of ingenuity across every state, territory, and the District of Columbia. Issued in the order of each state's entry into the Union, this multi-year program shares structural similarities with the earlier State Quarter Dollars program. Unlike standard circulating coinage, these dollar coins are not distributed into daily circulation by local banks, making them a distinctive find for curious observers. Struck at the Denver Mint in 2019, this brilliant uncirculated dollar features a unique composition. It is crafted with a pure copper core bonded to outer layers containing 77 percent copper, 12 percent zinc, 7 percent manganese, and 4 percent nickel. The edge of the coin is incised with the year 2019, the Denver "D" mint mark, and the traditional motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM." The obverse presents a striking profile of the Statue of Liberty alongside the denomination of "$1" and the national motto "IN GOD WE TRUST." A stylized gear privy mark is also integrated into the design, symbolizing industry and human innovation. On the reverse, the coin honors Georgia's agricultural roots with a depiction of a hand planting seeds alongside thriving garden plants. This side bears the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "GEORGIA," and "TRUSTEES' GARDEN."
