The 2026 Silver Peace Dollar stands as a modern tribute to a classic era of American coinage, specifically crafted to mark the semiquincentennial anniversary of the United States. This coin is struck with an enhanced uncirculated finish and contains 0.858 troy ounces of 0.999 fine silver. It has been certified in perfect Mint State 70 (MS-70) condition, carrying a special Advance Release designation. On the obverse, the profile of Liberty is depicted wearing her iconic radiant coronet. This side includes the monogram of the original sculptor, Anthony de Francisci, who created the initial 1921 design. To mark the nation's 250th anniversary, a special privy mark depicting the Liberty Bell alongside the number 250 is incorporated into the design. The inscriptions "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the dual dates of "1776" and "2026" are also featured. The reverse of the coin showcases an American eagle perched peacefully on a rock, looking out toward a new dawn. The word "PEACE" is inscribed at the base of the design. Although struck at the West Point Mint, this commemorative one dollar coin carries the spirit of the historic Philadelphia Mint designs that inspired it.
