In the early years of the United States, the young nation expressed its identity through its currency. This silver dollar, dated 1800, represents a fascinating era of early American minting. Struck in Philadelphia, the coin is composed of 0.8924 fine silver, containing approximately 0.7736 troy ounces of precious metal. Having survived more than two centuries, it is preserved in Very Fine condition, showing the honest wear of a coin that likely circulated during the presidencies of the nation's founders.
