In 1932, the United States introduced a new quarter design to mark the bicentennial of George Washington's birth. This Denver Mint issue, struck in 90 percent silver, represents the very first year of the beloved Washington quarter series. It remains a standout piece of twentieth-century American coinage, highly appreciated for its historical connection to the nation's founding father. The obverse of the coin displays a sharp profile of George Washington facing left, a portrait created by sculptor John Flanagan. Above the image, the word Liberty is inscribed, while the national motto and the 1932 date frame the lower portion of the design. On the reverse, a powerful heraldic eagle is depicted with its wings spread wide, clutching a bundle of arrows and an olive branch beneath its talons. The Denver mint mark, a small letter D, is located just below the center of the olive branch, identifying its origin at the Colorado facility. This coin is preserved in Extra Fine condition, showcasing crisp details in the feathers and portrait lines.
