0.1788 troy oz .900 1934 Almost Unc

The 1934 Washington quarter represents an early chapter in one of America's most enduring coin designs. Minted in Denver, this twenty-five cent piece is composed of 90 percent silver, containing approximately 0.1788 troy ounces of the precious metal. Surviving today in Almost Uncirculated condition, it retains much of its original luster and detail from the decade of the Great Depression. On the obverse, the coin displays the left-facing profile of George Washington, the nation's first president. This iconic portrait was created by sculptor John Flanagan. The design is accompanied by the national motto, IN GOD WE TRUST, positioned near the portrait's chin. The reverse side of the coin features a powerful heraldic eagle with its wings outspread. In its talons, the eagle grips a bundle of arrows and an olive branch, symbolizing both strength and peace. The traditional inscription E PLURIBUS UNUM is placed directly above the eagle, completing a classic piece of United States coinage history.
