1936-D Washington Quarter BU

0.1788 troy oz .900 1936 Brilliant Unc

The 1936 Washington quarter from the Denver Mint represents an early year in one of America's most enduring coin designs. Struck in 90% silver, this coin contains approximately 0.17875 troy ounces of precious metal. It stands as a brilliant uncirculated survivor from the decade that introduced this iconic presidential portrait to the nation's pocket change. Designed by sculptor John Flanagan, the obverse of the quarter displays a left-facing profile of George Washington. The familiar motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is positioned near his chin, with the date 1936 anchored at the bottom. On the reverse, a powerful heraldic eagle is depicted with its wings spread wide, clutching a bundle of arrows in its talons above a pair of olive branches. The Denver "D" mint mark is located beneath the eagle, marking its origin at the Colorado facility.
