0.1788 troy oz .900 1936 Very Fine

The 1936 Washington Quarter, minted in San Francisco, represents a classic era of United States coinage. Struck in 90% fine silver, this piece carries a precious metal content of 0.17875 troy ounces. It survives today in a Very Fine state of preservation, showing moderate wear but retaining clear details of its historic imagery. On the obverse, the profile of George Washington faces left, accompanied by the national motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the 1936 date. The reverse features a powerful heraldic eagle with its wings spread wide, gripping a bundle of arrows and an olive branch beneath its talons, symbolizing both strength and peace. The inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "E PLURIBUS UNUM", and "QUARTER DOLLAR" frame this traditional design, which was originally created by John Flanagan.
