1941-D Washington Quarter BU

0.1788 troy oz .900 1941 Brilliant Unc

The 1941 Washington quarter represents a classic era of United States coinage, struck in 90 percent silver just before the nation entered the Second World War. Produced at the Denver Mint, this twenty-five cent piece contains 0.17875 troy ounces of silver and has survived in remarkable Brilliant Uncirculated condition, preserving the crisp details of its original strike. On the obverse, the profile of George Washington faces left, accompanied by the national motto of trust. The reverse showcases a powerful heraldic eagle with its wings spread, clutching a bundle of arrows and an olive branch, symbolizing both strength and peace. Below the eagle, the Denver mint mark is clearly visible, marking its origin from the Colorado facility. Designed by sculptor John Flanagan, this coin remains a beautiful example of mid-twentieth-century American engraving.
