1941-S Washington Quarter BU

0.1788 troy oz .900 1941 Brilliant Unc

The 1941 Washington quarter, minted in San Francisco, represents a classic era of United States silver coinage. Struck in 0.900 fine silver with a precious metal content of 0.17875 troy ounces, this twenty-five cent piece is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, retaining its original luster and sharp details just as it emerged from the mint over eight decades ago. Designed by sculptor John Flanagan, the obverse of the coin presents a dignified left-facing profile of George Washington. This iconic portrait is accompanied by the inscriptions "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the date "1941". The reverse side displays a bold heraldic eagle with its wings spread wide, gripping a bundle of arrows and an olive branch beneath its talons. The national motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" is positioned above the eagle, while the legends "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "QUARTER DOLLAR" frame the powerful central design.
