1941 Washington Quarter XF

0.1788 troy oz .900 1941 Extra Fine

Struck in the United States during a pivotal moment in global history, the 1941 Washington quarter represents a classic era of American silver coinage. This twenty-five cent piece is composed of 90 percent silver, containing approximately 0.1788 troy ounces of the precious metal. Kept in Extra Fine condition, the coin retains much of the sharp detail from its original striking at the Philadelphia Mint. The obverse displays the left-facing profile of George Washington, the nation's first president. This celebrated portrait, created by sculptor John Flanagan, is accompanied by the national motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" positioned in the left field, with the date 1941 inscribed below the bust. On the reverse, a powerful heraldic eagle is depicted with its wings spread wide, clutching a bundle of arrows and an olive branch in its talons. Above the eagle, the traditional Latin motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" is visible, while the legends "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "QUARTER DOLLAR" encircle the central design.
