This 1942 Washington quarter, struck at the Denver Mint, represents a classic era of United States silver coinage. Crafted from 90 percent silver with a precious metal content of 0.17875 troy ounces, this piece has survived the decades in an extraordinary state of preservation, earning a high certified grade of Mint State 67 (MS-67). The obverse of the coin presents a left-facing portrait of George Washington, designed by John Flanagan. This familiar profile is accompanied by the inscriptions "LIBERTY" and "IN GOD WE TRUST", alongside the 1942 year of issue. On the reverse, an eagle with outstretched wings dominates the design. The reverse face also carries the traditional motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM", the national designation "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", and the twenty-five cent denomination.
