1943-D Washington Quarter BU

0.1788 troy oz .900 1943 Brilliant Unc

Struck during the height of the mid-century era, this 1943 Washington quarter showcases the enduring artistry of American coinage. Minted in Denver, as indicated by the small D mint mark on its reverse, this piece is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. It is composed of 90 percent silver, which equates to approximately 0.17875 troy ounces of precious metal. The obverse of the coin presents a sharp profile of George Washington, the nation's first president. This side also bears the familiar inscription IN GOD WE TRUST. John Flanagan designed the iconic imagery for both sides of the coin. On the reverse, a powerful heraldic eagle stands with its wings spread wide, gripping a bundle of arrows and an olive branch in its talons. This classic symbol of strength and peace is accompanied by the traditional national motto, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and the denomination of a quarter dollar.
