Struck in the final year of the Second World War, this 1945 Washington quarter represents a classic era of American silver coinage. Minted at the Denver facility, denoted by its 'D' mint mark, each piece is composed of 90 percent silver, containing approximately 0.1788 troy ounces of the precious metal. Designed by sculptor John Flanagan, the coin's obverse showcases the left-facing profile of George Washington.
