1945-S Washington Quarter BU

0.1788 troy oz .900 1945 Brilliant Unc

Struck during a momentous year in global history, the 1945 Washington quarter represents a classic era of American silver coinage. This particular specimen, minted at the San Francisco facility, survives in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, preserving the crisp details of its mid-century craftsmanship. Composed of 90 percent silver, the coin contains approximately 0.17875 troy ounces of precious metal. The obverse displays the dignified profile of George Washington, a design created by sculptor John Flanagan. Accompanying the portrait is the national motto, "IN GOD WE TRUST," along with the 1945 date. On the reverse, a powerful heraldic eagle is depicted with outspread wings, clutching a bundle of arrows in its talons above a symbolic olive branch. The inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and the denomination "QUARTER DOLLAR" encircle the central motif, with the "S" mint mark indicating its West Coast origin.
