0.1788 troy oz .900 1950 Almost Unc

The 1950-S Washington quarter represents a classic mid-century moment in United States coinage. Struck at the San Francisco Mint, this twenty-five cent piece is composed of 90 percent silver, containing approximately 0.17875 troy ounces of the precious metal. It survives today in an Almost Uncirculated condition, retaining much of its original luster and detail from the era. On the obverse, the coin displays the familiar left-facing portrait of George Washington, a design created by sculptor John Flanagan. This side also bears the national motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" alongside the 1950 date. The reverse showcases a powerful heraldic eagle with its wings spread, gripping a bundle of arrows in its talons above a pair of olive branches, symbolizing both strength and peace. The San Francisco "S" mint mark is located just below the center of this reverse design.
