This mid-century silver quarter, minted in Denver in 1954, represents a classic era of United States circulating coinage. Struck in 90 percent silver, the coin contains 0.17875 troy ounces of precious metal. The obverse displays the familiar left-facing portrait of George Washington, a design created by John Flanagan.
