1957-D Washington Quarter BU

0.1788 troy oz .900 1957 Brilliant Unc

The 1957 Washington quarter stands as a shining example of mid-century American coinage. Struck at the Denver Mint, this twenty-five cent piece is composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.17875 troy ounces of the precious metal. Preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, the coin retains its original luster, allowing the fine details of the engraving to remain as crisp as the day it was minted. On the obverse, the profile of George Washington faces left, accompanied by the national motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the 1957 date. This iconic portrait was created by designer John Flanagan. The reverse presents a powerful heraldic eagle with its wings spread wide, gripping a bundle of arrows and an olive branch in its talons, symbolizing both strength and peace. Above the eagle, the traditional motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" is inscribed, while the denomination "QUARTER DOLLAR" anchors the bottom of the design.
