0.1788 troy oz .900 1959 Brilliant Unc

In 1959, the Denver Mint struck this classic twenty-five cent piece in 90 percent silver. Containing 0.17875 troy ounces of precious metal, this coin survives today in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, preserving the sharp details of its mid-century craftsmanship. The obverse displays the left-facing portrait of George Washington, the nation's first president. Above his profile, the word LIBERTY is inscribed, while the national motto IN GOD WE TRUST sits quietly to his left. The year 1959 is anchored at the bottom. On the reverse, a dramatic heraldic eagle is depicted with its wings fully spread. The eagle clutches a bundle of arrows in its talons, positioned directly above an olive branch, symbolizing both strength and peace. The inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and QUARTER DOLLAR frame this powerful central design, accompanied by the traditional Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM.
