1959 Washington Quarter BU

0.1788 troy oz .900 1959 Brilliant Unc

This 1959 United States quarter represents a classic era of mid-century American coinage. Struck in 90% silver, the coin contains approximately 0.1808 troy ounces of precious metal. Preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, it retains its original luster and sharp details just as it looked when it left the Philadelphia Mint over six decades ago. The obverse displays the familiar left-facing profile of George Washington, a design created by sculptor John Flanagan. Accompanying the portrait is the national motto, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the 1959 year of issue. On the reverse, Flanagan's powerful design features a heraldic eagle with outspread wings, gripping a bundle of arrows and perched upon an olive branch, symbolizing both strength and peace.
