1982-P Washington Quarter BU

0.0000 troy oz 1982 Brilliant Unc

The 1982 Washington quarter from the Philadelphia Mint represents a classic era in modern United States circulating coinage. Struck in a brilliant uncirculated finish, this piece features a copper-nickel layer bonded directly to a core of pure copper. This composition gives the coin its distinct weight and edge appearance, characteristic of American quarters produced since the mid twentieth century. On the obverse, the familiar profile of George Washington faces left, a design created by artist John Flanagan. The portrait is accompanied by the national motto, "In God We Trust," along with the 1982 date and the "P" mint mark, which designates its origin at the Philadelphia facility. The reverse displays a powerful heraldic eagle with its wings spread wide, gripping a bundle of arrows and an olive branch in its talons. The inscriptions on this side include the issuing nation, "United States of America," and the denomination, "One Quarter Dollar," framing the central eagle motif.
