1986-P Washington Quarter BU

0.0000 troy oz 1986 Brilliant Unc

The 1986 Washington quarter represents a classic era of modern United States circulating coinage. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this twenty-five cent piece features a copper-nickel outer layer bonded to an inner core of pure copper. The coin is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, showcasing the original metallic luster and sharp details as they emerged from the minting press decades ago. On the obverse, the profile of George Washington faces left, a timeless design created by John Flanagan. Surrounding the first president's portrait are the inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST, along with the P mint mark representing Philadelphia and the 1986 year of production. The reverse side displays a powerful heraldic eagle with its wings spread wide, gripping a bundle of arrows and an olive branch in its talons. Above the eagle, the traditional Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM is inscribed, while the outer rim bears the legends UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and QUARTER DOLLAR.
