1989-D Washington Quarter BU

0.0000 troy oz 1989 Brilliant Unc

The 1989 Washington quarter from the Denver Mint offers a crisp look at one of America's most enduring circulating designs. Struck with a copper and nickel outer layer bonded to a core of pure copper, this coin displays the sharp details characteristic of its Brilliant Uncirculated preservation. The Denver origin is marked by the letter D on the obverse side. On the obverse, the profile of George Washington faces left, accompanied by the inscriptions of liberty and the national motto of trust. This portrait, originally created by John Flanagan, has defined the face of the twenty five cent piece for generations. The reverse side features the classic heraldic eagle. The bird is depicted holding a bundle of arrows and an olive branch, symbolizing both strength and peace. Above the eagle, the traditional Latin motto is displayed, while the denomination and country name frame the central design.
