1990-D Washington Quarter BU
In 1990, the Denver Mint produced a striking version of the classic Washington quarter, preserved today in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. This coin features a specialized composition, consisting of an outer layer of copper and nickel bonded securely to a core of pure copper. The Denver origin is marked by the letter D on the obverse side. Designed by John Flanagan, the coin presents the profile of George Washington facing left on the obverse. This familiar portrait is accompanied by the inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST, alongside the 1990 year of issue. The reverse side displays a powerful heraldic eagle. The bird holds a bundle of arrows and an olive branch in its talons, representing both strength and peace. Surrounding this central design are the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and the denomination of QUARTER DOLLAR.
